Hit the date.
A plaster sub that misses a date holds up paint, trim, and finish — every trade after us pays the price. We commit to a schedule and we hit it, including the cure windows between coats.
Home / About
Richartz Plastering has been a family-run subcontractor in Southern California since 1989. We don't chase volume — we build long relationships with a small list of general contractors who know what good plaster work looks like.
The company started in 1989 with one truck, one license, and a handful of South Bay contractors who needed a plaster sub they could trust on a Friday afternoon.
37 years later, the work hasn't changed much — wet coats still go on at the right thickness in the right weather, lath still goes up square or it doesn't go up at all. What's grown is the bench: a crew of foremen and journeymen who've been with us for years, several since their first job out of trade school.
We've stayed family-owned because that's how the work stays honest. When you call our office, you're talking to the same people who walked your last job.
What We Stand For
01
A plaster sub that misses a date holds up paint, trim, and finish — every trade after us pays the price. We commit to a schedule and we hit it, including the cure windows between coats.
02
Almost every plaster failure traces back to a substrate that wasn't right. We inspect framing, paper, and lath before a single drop of mud goes on. The inspector's job is to confirm, not to find problems.
03
The finish coat is the only one the owner sees. We assign a single finishing crew to a job from start to close-out so the texture reads consistent across every wall and every elevation.

You can tell which subs run a tight ship the first time you walk a Richartz job. Lath is straight, coats are uniform, and the punch list is short. They make our schedule look smart.
